*Hint
Chainrings made of high quality steel (QStE 420 and 460) or aluminum (7075 T6), with high-strength tooth flanks, radial and axial runout tolerance typically less than 0.2 mm
Pinion with clean teeth cleared and a hardening of 700 HV 40 (depth 0.4 mm, this corresponds to the standard of the original), radial and axial runout tolerance typically less than 0.1 mm
A change in the translation to the type of the machine goes out
Whether an adjustment of the chain length is required, you can quickly and easily check with our chain lengths Calculator

The standard translation for your vehicle, please refer to our example chain set tables.
Warning: Changing the default translation generally means always a loss of warranty of the vehicle! Further, the chain length must be redetermined.
be reckoned With significantly smaller or larger sprockets or chain rings than the standard must correspond to the loops of the chain to the frame and / or the rocker!

The speed changes when changing the ratio to about 200 or 400 U / min per tooth, more or less (chainring or pinion). Further, the chain length must be adjusted as a rule - per 2 teeth changing an entire link is usually more or less needed. Example: Old chain length 102 members. driven with 42er chain ring means, with a change to 40 teeth, a new chain length of 100 members. This rule of thumb is not binding and is different from the individual case!
